The Hotel Nanny is celebrating after it was announced last night that the Tetbury based company is a finalist for the Small Business category in the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, taking place on 25th November at the Ballroom Southbank, Central London, are set to become the recognised standard of excellence amongst entrepreneurs. They mark a new era for entrepreneurship in the UK and this inaugural event is set to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution and inspiration provided by entrepreneurial businesses.

The Hotel Nanny works uniquely as a partner for the hotel industry as well as equally working with and fulfilling the exacting standards and specific demands of family customers. The Hotel Nanny helps to attract business, leisure, domestic and foreign customers whom are all increasingly travelling with their children to hotels. Furthermore it allows hotels an opportunity to provide, for the first time, a five star, professional nanny service built exclusively for the hotel industry providing a much needed service that resonates with the values and expectations of a luxury hotel experience.

The Hotel Nanny also addresses the increased trend of business demand into hotels as is the number of women executives from dual career families who need to travel on business and to attend conferences. The Hotel Nanny is an empowering facility to bring their children with them on business stays in hotels.

“I am thrilled and absolutely elated to be shortlisted for such an amazing accolade by the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. To be shortlisted recognises and rewards the work that has gone in to the build and creation of The Hotel Nanny and how unique we have aligned and positioned ourselves within the hospitality community. I believe in pushing the status quo and delivering an exceptional service, far better than what has been before. My passion and drive to achieve a premium level of service in childcare and customer care when planning a hotel trip whether for business or leisure has been my all-encompassing vision and this philosophy resonates with every single staff member in the company.

People working in the hospitality area are like the ‘public diplomats of Britain’. We are the ones giving those lasting, final impressions of the UK, show casing hospitality and the level of service and customer care we are committed to deliver — I wanted this to be evident in childcare too, which had been up until now a very much neglected arena. I feel I am a strong stakeholder in this debate and I feel a personal commitment to Britain’s visitors with the position I hold as owner and founder of The Hotel Nanny.”

Former President and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council, Jean-Claude Baumgarten adds his support for The Hotel Nanny:

“In the hospitality world, a new fast growing group of travellers has emerged – the children. This trend has created new needs and products. The time has also come to provide a precious service for travelling parents eager to have some private time together for themselves and enjoy more the hotel facilities that can’t be done with children. The Hotel Nanny, created by Angela Roach is the answer to take care of all the necessary areas that are on the wish list of family guests. One can only commend Angela Roach to have launched this essential service in an often conservative world like hospitality. The Hotel Nanny concept is one of those ideas where one wonders why it did not exist before”

“The entries we have received for the Great British Entrepreneur Awards can only be described as awe inspiring. The quality has been outstanding. The judges have had the extremely difficult task of whittling the great and good of the entrepreneurial community down to the very best and we are delighted by the companies that have made the shortlist. The Awards Ceremony itself in November will be a night to remember, with VIPs from the worlds of business and entrepreneurship gathering to celebrate entrepreneurial spirit in the UK.”
